Snowmobile Trail Conditions March 29, 2018 This is the final trail condition report for NH snowmobile trails this season. It’s certainly been an interesting season to say the least. For the diehards out there, you can still get in some good spring riding in the high North Country. Most clubs have ceased grooming and are in the process of closing down.OHRV riders stay tuned for trail conditions once that season kicks off on our OHRV web page, our Facebook Trail Conditions page, or you can sign up below to receive them via email. Mud season has been declared for much of NH and many winter riding areas are now closed.Another big thank you to all of the landowners and clubs for all of their hard work this season! Let’s hope next year brings us a bountiful snow fall that is continuously on the ground.Note that if an area is not listed below it should be considered as no reportable riding conditions at this time. You may want to check with local clubs for trail status and conditions.Railroad Corridors Riding on ACTIVE railroad tracks is illegal and extremely dangerous. Riders should not operate along, within, or across active railroads. Railroads that become snowmobile trails are signed open for winter use and are listed below.Great North Woods Region PittsburgTrails are best in the high areas. At this point, the club is looking to groom where they can through this weekend. Would recommend trailering to East Inlet area.Diamond Pond/Coleman State ParkOpen, groomed, good to great conditions. Stay off plowed logging roads unless they are signed OPEN and then use caution.ColebrookTrails/gates into town are CLOSED for the season, as well as the Shrine trail. Rail bed is CLOSED, gates will be soon. Other trails are still open, but grooming has ceased and conditions are marginal.Errol/MillsfieldTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal to moderate spring-like conditions. Buffalo trail is CLOSED from Coarser Brook Road to Charlie’s Trail (Corridor 18); use Charlie’s Trail, 13 Mile Woods Trail, or Mtn. Pond Trail to get into Errol. Stay off plowed logging roads unless they are signed OPEN and then use caution. StratfordTrails are open and groomed when conditions merit it. Valley trails are marginal, higher elevations better. OHRVs should limit access.Groveton/Nash StreamTown of Groveton is CLOSED for the season. Other trails are open, but grooming has ceased, moderate spring-like conditions.Cambridge/MilanTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal spring-like conditions.Berlin/SuccessTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal to moderate spring-like conditions. Corridor 12 gates between Berlin and Success will be CLOSED Monday, April 2nd.LancasterTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal spring-like conditions.WhitefieldTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal spring-like conditions.Whitefield to Groveton Rail Corridor (Corridor 5A)CLOSED for the season.DaltonTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal spring-like conditions. White Mountain Region Ammonoosuc Recreational Rail TrailNo snowmobile riding available. OHRV use (65” max width) allowed year round.Presidential Recreational Rail TrailGates are open, grooming has ceased, marginal conditions.Concord to Lincoln Rail Corridor (Exit 18/Canterbury to Exit 32/Lincoln)CLOSED for the season. ACTIVE RAIL BED now - ILLEGAL to operate on!Bear NotchOpen, groomed, moderate conditions. Sawyer River Road is CLOSED for the season. May be exposed rails on tracks – use CAUTION!Campton/ThorntonCLOSED for the season.Franconia Notch Bike PathRemains open but there is no grooming going on and conditions are marginal.GorhamTrails are open, but grooming has ceased, marginal spring-like conditions.JeffersonOpen, but grooming has ceased, marginal to moderate spring-like conditions.LittletonCLOSED for the season.Twin MountainTrails in town and south of Corridor 11 are not being groomed any longer and conditions are marginal. Trails in the Bretton Woods area are groomed with moderate conditions. The Little River Bridge (Twin Mtn Connector Trail) is CLOSED due to flood damage – DO NOT CROSS!
